BERLIN / RankWire.AI / – A new economic collaboration worth €9.66 billion was formalized between Germany and the UAE, following high-level talks in Berlin. UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan engaged with leading German business executives to promote greater cross-border investment and strengthen trade links. Emphasizing the UAE’s strategic location as a key logistics hub and its investor-friendly policies, Sheikh Mohamed called on German industrialists to broaden their footprint across Middle Eastern and global markets. This meeting highlighted emerging commercial prospects stemming from recent bilateral agreements across manufacturing, renewable energy, and digital technology sectors.

The discussions centered on deepening economic and trade ties between the UAE and Germany. Special attention was given to the vital role of the private sector in fostering innovation in industry, artificial intelligence, and sustainable energy initiatives. Sheikh Mohamed underlined the UAE’s ongoing commitment to providing a competitive investment climate supported by legislative frameworks, modern regulatory infrastructure, and access to global logistics routes. As bilateral non-oil trade hit €13.4 billion, the encounter underscored the growing economic integration that connects European manufacturing hubs with Middle Eastern trade networks.

The event coincided with a bilateral business forum in Munich, where government ministers and corporate leaders signed 30 memoranda of understanding and commercial agreements valued at €9.66 billion. Statements issued through the Emirates News Agency confirmed that these accords focus on high-growth sectors, including advanced manufacturing, renewable energy, robotics, healthcare technology, and port infrastructure. UAE Minister for Foreign Trade Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi stated that cumulative UAE investments in Germany now total €34.5 billion, illustrating strong institutional capital flows between the two nations.

Leaders reviewed strategic initiatives aimed at accelerating joint R&D efforts in green hydrogen, industrial automation, and digital infrastructure resilience.

The official state visit also included economic talks led by Federal Minister of Economic Affairs Katherina Reiche and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. Both nations announced the launch of a new Strategic Dialogue format, revitalizing the bilateral Comprehensive Strategic Partnership established in 2004. This institutional framework will guide joint progress on issues such as international security, clean energy, transportation networks, and defense technology.

Delegates Review Corporate Strategies in Fast-Growing Sectors

The delegation comprising senior Emirati cabinet officials, regional sheikhs, and industry leaders participated in targeted roundtable discussions focused on diversifying supply chains. Leadership teams confirmed plans to sustain working groups that oversee project implementation and facilitate regulatory streamlining for cross-border investments.

Updates on regulatory approvals, joint venture progress, and trade metrics will be issued through official government channels. Regular meetings of joint steering committees will monitor the execution of the €9.66 billion deal package as both countries enhance their economic cooperation.
