CUPERTINO, CALIFORNIA / RankWire.AI / – Apple announced a multiyear chip agreement with Broadcom valued at more than $30 billion. The deal covers custom silicon parts and wireless connectivity technology for Apple products. Apple said the agreement will produce more than 15 billion U.S.-made chips. It also supports work at Broadcom’s facility in Fort Collins, Colorado.

The Apple Broadcom chip deal marks the largest commitment under Apple’s American Manufacturing Program. Apple launched the program to expand manufacturing in the United States. The company said the Broadcom agreement forms part of its broader plan to spend $600 billion in the U.S. economy over four years. That pledge covers manufacturing, jobs, and technology development.

Broadcom will expand and modernize its Fort Collins operations through a $1.5 billion capital spending plan. The site will make advanced radio frequency components for Apple devices. Those parts include FBAR filters, which help manage wireless signals. Apple uses wireless components across products that connect through cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS systems.

    Manufacturing expansion

Broadcom also agreed to supply custom ASIC silicon products for multiple generations of Apple products through 2031. ASIC chips are designed for specific tasks inside electronic devices. The agreement extends a long-running technology relationship between the two companies. Apple and Broadcom have worked together for years on components used in consumer electronics.

The Fort Collins facility sits at the center of the new production plan. Broadcom will use the site for radio frequency chips and wireless connectivity technologies. Apple said the chips will support a wide range of its products. The company also said the agreement will support hundreds of American jobs tied to semiconductor work.

    Domestic chip supply

The deal adds to Apple’s recent U.S. semiconductor commitments. Apple has said its domestic supply chain work includes silicon engineering, chip production, and advanced manufacturing. The Broadcom agreement focuses on parts that help devices connect to networks and nearby products. These components differ from main processors, memory, and storage chips.

The announcement comes as technology companies increase U.S. chip investment and supply chain activity. Apple said the new Broadcom commitment advances its work with U.S. businesses on domestic silicon production. The company framed the agreement as part of its American Manufacturing Program. Broadcom said the Fort Collins expansion will increase its manufacturing footprint for connectivity technology.
