SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia will initiate nonstop flights connecting Sharjah International Airport with Amman City Airport starting November 15, 2026. Operating four times weekly, this new route enhances the airline’s network linking the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. Currently, Air Arabia serves the route from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, the main airport for Jordan’s capital. The new service provides travelers with a second option for arriving in Amman via the airline’s Sharjah network and broadens its scheduled flights to Jordan.

Flights will be scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Flight G9 169 departs Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and lands in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time. The return flight, G9 170, departs Amman at 11:20 a.m. and arrives in Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Tickets for the route are now available through Air Arabia’s website, call center, and travel agents.
This new route extends Air Arabia Group’s existing Jordan-related services. The group currently links Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi with both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport, and also operates flights from Alexandria International Airport to Amman City Airport. The addition of the Sharjah route introduces a second departure point in the UAE for flights to Amman City Airport, complementing its existing Jordan services.
Air Arabia broadens access to two Amman airports
According to Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al Ali, the new route offers travelers a second option for arriving in the Jordanian capital. He emphasized that this service will enhance convenience and flexibility for passengers traveling between the UAE and Jordan. The airline announced the upcoming Sharjah route on October 8, more than a month prior to its scheduled start in November. It will operate alongside the airline’s current flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport.
Earlier in 2026, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi launched its own route to Amman City Airport, beginning May 1 with three weekly nonstop flights from Zayed International Airport. This route, like the Sharjah service, also connects to Queen Al Alia International Airport, providing two options for travelers from the UAE capital. In April, Air Arabia announced that the two Abu Dhabi routes together offered 10 weekly flights to Amman at the time of the second airport’s launch.
Sharjah service introduces four weekly Jordan flights
Utilizing flight numbers G9 169 and G9 170, the new Sharjah route operates on a fixed four-day weekly schedule. Air Arabia’s fleet includes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. The airline also features its SkyTime streaming platform, SkyCafe onboard menu, and Air Rewards loyalty program. Passengers can reserve tickets for the Amman City Airport flights ahead of the November 15 launch through the airline’s established sales channels.
This expansion enhances Air Arabia Group’s connectivity to Jordan through its bases in Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Alexandria. From Sharjah, passengers will have direct flights to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. From Abu Dhabi, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi also serves both airports, while Alexandria maintains a direct link to Amman City Airport. The November launch will add four scheduled weekly flights between Sharjah and Jordan’s capital to the airline’s regional network.
