    Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media Achieves Full Conformance with Internal Audit Quality Standards

    AJMAN, UAE, Oct. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media has achieved Full Conformance with Internal Audit Quality Standards following an assessment of its internal audit activity, conducted by the UAE Internal Auditors Association. The achievement reflects the Department’s commitment to international professional standards and to strengthening governance, accountability and institutional oversight.

Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of the Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media, during the announcement of the Department’s achievement of Full Conformance with Internal Audit Quality Standards, following an assessment conducted by the UAE Internal Auditors Association at the CAE Conference 2026 in Abu Dhabi.

    The result was announced during the CAE Conference 2026, held in Abu Dhabi from 6 to 8 October and attended by leading internal audit executives, experts and specialists. The Department was recognised in the presence of HE Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of the Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media, who also participated in the conference, reflecting the Department’s active engagement in specialised professional forums and its commitment to international best practice in governance and internal audit.

    The achievement demonstrates the maturity of the Department’s oversight framework and its ability to manage risks proactively and efficiently. It also highlights the role of internal audit in enhancing institutional effectiveness, supporting sound decision-making, strengthening controls, upholding professional standards and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

    The recognition further reinforces the Department’s commitment to developing its oversight practices in support of good governance, performance efficiency and the responsible management of public resources, in line with the Ajman Government’s direction to build an agile, trusted and sustainable government ecosystem.
